Cajeput Essential Oil is produced by steam distillation of the leaves and twigs of Melaleuca cajuputi. It has a fresh, penetrating, camphoraceous aroma with eucalyptus-like and slightly fruity notes and is generally considered a top-to-middle note in aromatic formulations.

This essential oil is commonly used in seasonal diffusion, chest and back massage blends, fresh-air blends, and cleansing household preparations. Not recommended for children under 10 because of its high 1,8-cineole content. For ages 10–12, use approximately 0.5% and never apply on or near the face. Do not use essential oils routinely with children under age 2 unless directed by a pediatric healthcare professional or qualified clinical aromatherapist. Never place essential oils in or near a child's eyes, nose, mouth, ears, or hands.
